The Score and The Bridle Bash Foundation Announce The 4th Annual Cabbie on The Street Invitational Table Tennis Tournament
Score personalities, friends and celebs team up to raise money for charity
TORONTO, Feb. 3, 2010 – Score personality and ping pong authority Cabral “Cabbie” Richards is at it again with The 4th Annual Cabbie on The Street Invitational Table Tennis Tournament hosted by Cabbie himself and presented by Score Media and The Bridle Bash Foundation. A night filled with table tennis challenges, celebrity sightings and an awesome after party, the tournament will be the charity event of the year.
Open to spectators and players of all ages, the annual event featuring 64 teams in a double elimination-style tournament, will help raise money for several charities including Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) for emergency medical relief. Proceeds from the event will also be distributed amongst the Bridle Bash Foundation’s recipient charities.

Score Media Reports Highest Quarterly Revenue and EBITDA in Company History
First quarter results demonstrate significant multi‐platform revenue growth
TORONTO, Jan. 13, 2010 – Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) today announced its financial results for the first quarter ended November 30, 2009:
- Revenue for the quarter ended November 30, 2009 increased by 8% or $0.9 million to $11.4 million compared to $10.5 million in the quarter ended November 30, 2008. This was the highest revenue quarter in the Company’s history.
- EBITDA for the quarter ended November 30, 2009 was $3.3 million compared to $1.2 million in the previous year. This was the highest EBITDA quarter in the Company’s history. Excluding the impact of the $0.8 million CRTC Part II regulatory fee reversal, EBITDA for the quarter ended November 30, 2009 more than doubled with an increase of $1.3 million to $2.5 million, compared to $1.2 million in the previous year.
- Net income for the quarter ended November 30, 2009 was $1.1 million, compared to $0.2 million in the previous year

- ScoreMobile for BlackBerry and ScoreMobile iPhone Edition are growing rapidly in the North American market. In November 2009 alone, this application amassed more than 1 million combined unique users (over 60% U.S.‐based), and received over 300,000 application downloads.
- The Score’s 2009‐2010 NBA coverage kicked‐off with a record audience during the Toronto Raptors first regular season game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. With 20 Raptors games, 40 NBA games, multi‐platform programming and an expanded line‐up of basketball coverage, including weekly episodes of Court Surfing, Canadian basketball fans can expect a comprehensive round‐up of live games, highlights and signature Score content throughout the NBA season.
- theScore.com web traffic is growing rapidly; in the three months ended November 30, 2009, page visits were up 11% compared to the same month in the previous year. theScore.com Sports Federation also experienced significant growth, jumping from 12 to 26 blogs since its inception in November 2008 and 247,000 unique visitors in November 2009 compared to 21,000 unique visitors in the same month of 2008.
- The Score HD became available to Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers, expanding our high definition footprint amongst Canadian households.
- On August 31, 2009, BBM Canada launched a new national audience measurement service in the form of the Portable People Meter (PPM). The PPM is a small lightweight device, about the size of a pager which will be carried by 9,000 randomly‐chosen panelists who are representative of the Canadian population. Audiences on The Score were up more than 50% in the first quarter of fiscal 2010 compared to the same period in the prior year. Additionally, in the strategic 18‐34 male demographic, audiences were up over 75% in the comparative periods. Viewers are increasingly tuning in for the Company’s continued creation, production, and acquisition of entertaining content.
- On September 21st, 2009, The Score began airing Gillette DRAFTED, The Search for Canada’s Next Sportscaster. Through this partnership with Procter & Gamble, one of North America’s largest and most prolific marketers, The Score created integrated, multi‐platform, branded entertainment for distribution both online and on‐air.

Hardcore Sports Radio Introduces…The Morning Jones
Original, new morning show hosted by North American radio personality Bomani Jones to be featured exclusively on SIRIUS Channel 98

(TSX: SCR) today announced that renowned radio personality, Bomani Jones, will be joining the voices of Hardcore Sports Radio with his new morning show, The Morning Jones. The three-hour broadcast will debut on SIRIUS Channel 98 air waves on January 11th, 2010 and will air weekdays from 7-10 am ET.
Broadcast live from North Carolina, The Morning Jones will feature in-depth analysis of the most pressing sports issues of the day as well as some of the most compelling live guests in sports radio. It will be a destination for hardcore radio fans to get their morning sports fix and direct access to Bomani, his opinions, his analysis and his devotion to hardcore sports radio. The Morning Jones will be less like a formatted radio show and more of a two-way conversation with fans. A Big Night for the Raptors. A Slam Dunk for The Score.
The Score attracts record regular season Raptors audience
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2009 – Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) today announced that it drew a record audience of 420,000 during last night’s broadcast of the Toronto Raptors first regular season game, with a peak audience of 741,000 during the last half-hour. As the Raptors delivered a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, The Score delivered the highest regular season Raptors audience across any Canadian network within the last decade.
“With a previous Raptors regular season high of 238,000 viewers on our network, we are ecstatic about the audience for last night’s game,” says John Levy, Chairman and CEO, Score Media Inc. “The buzz around this place yesterday was one of pure excitement and from our pre-game interviews to our post-game recap, we feel that our unique approach to covering basketball and our strong relationships with our basketball partners have contributed to this growing success.”
Taking into account last night’s sports line-up, featuring a Toronto Maple Leafs game and Game One of the World Series, The Score’s ratings are even more impressive particularly within the 18-34 demo where the broadcast outscored the World Series game with an average audience of 103,000.
In addition to the television ratings, The Score also experienced a record night on ScoreMobile, its leading BlackBerry and iPhone mobile application and attracted the highest number of visitors to theScore.com this fall.

Score Media Reports Revenue Growth in 2009
Year-end results demonstrate revenue growth across all media platforms
TORONTO, Oct. 21, 2009 – Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) today announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended August 31, 2009:
- Revenue for the year ended August 31, 2009 increased by $2.5 million to $38.9 million compared to $36.4 million in the year ended August 31, 2008. The company had increases in TV revenues as well as web and mobile revenues.
- EBITDA for the year ended August 31, 2009 was $3.8 million compared to $5.9 million in the previous year, due mostly to planned investments in HD programming and marketing
- Net loss for the year ended August 31, 2009 was $1.5 million, compared to net income of $2.0 million in the previous year, due primarily to the above noted investments in HD programming and marketing, and increased depreciation expense of $1.5 million related to Score Media’s new HD broadcasting facilities
- Fourth quarter revenue increased by $0.4 million to $8.9 million compared to $8.5 million in the prior year. Fourth quarter EBITDA was $0.7 million compared to $1.6 million in the prior year.
